Lady K's Southern Comfort - Haviland

Where do I begin with my experience with Lady K and her soul-filling business. I literally called her two days before my mother's birthday, explained that I wanted to make her birthday special by eating her favorite food for her and my family for lunch after the church on Sunday. If you've been here, you know she's closed on Sundays. Ms. K only opened to fulfill my wishes to make my mother smile and delivered the best soul food we had in this way. My mother and sister are two of the hardest green critics you ever want to meet and they LOVED their greens. Everything was seasoned to perfection and mouthwater. I really appreciate you coming through during this time and you have won customers forever! Many blessings on your business always!

I dread having to write this review, because all I have wanted so badly was to come in and enjoy this place. Unfortunately, they just can?t seem to honor their time. I have now been here twice; both on consecutive Wednesdays, supposedly the first day of their business week, once at 3:00, when they were supposed to open, and once at 4:00, an hour after they were supposed to open. What a shame.

Tried this place out of curiosity. I am NOT a veggie eater but their collards are to die for. The fried chicken was crispy and juicy with each bite. The baked mac n cheese was spot on. I wish I could give this more then 5 stars!! I will definitely be returning to this place in the near future.

Disappointing. All these reviews sound great but it 's definitely more of a take out place than dine in. So much so that the guy at the cash register had to ask, hey, can people eat in? The collared greens were SO salty. Practically inedible. The chicken was fine nothing amazing. I can 't recommend.

This place is definitely the place to go for some good soul food!!! The meal was reasonably priced and the portions were filling. The barbecue turkey wings were so soft falling off the bone, fried chicken was crispy not fast food style, the cabbage was good I had the sweet style with baked mac n cheese it was so good y?all!!! I also got the 4 piece whitening fish with rice and peas that was also amazing!!! She also has some empanadas I tried the vegan greens one no soy protein it did not miss y?all!!! I am a forever customer!! She also does catering with appropriate notice of course so I?ll definitely be back and sharing the eats!!! Oh the homemade lemonade and sweet tea are made in house she also does kool aide I tried the lemonade needless to say the meal was enjoyable!!! Treat yourself it?s something about someone who loves what they do and this was evident soon as I stepped into Lady K?s. She was humming away delightful and gave me the rundown a huge pet peeve of mine is walking into a restaurant and not even being addressed let alone told about the special?s in a not hurry up and buy tone this is what also plays a huge role in my decision to remain a customer!!!
