Heidi's Swiss Patisserie - Havant

First of all: the quality of the bakery wares I tried was very good, especially considering the reasonable prices. However, the service needs a lot of work (better training and team management): I went to the Hayling branch to get a pastry for lunch, There was no queue and only about half the tables inside had customers. There were 3 staff. Yet I had to wait 20 minutes to be acknowledged even though I was the only walk-in customer. While I waited, I watched the disorganised way in which the service was managed. All three staff were taking and preparing orders from seated customers, who frequently came back to order more or amend their order while I was waiting. I don't know what they got preferential treatment and permission to jump my queue of one, or why there wasn't a staff member tasked with serving walk-ins. I'm usually patient and understanding, and I have no problem waiting my turn, but this was just random and not reasonable.

This is a great place to have a tea/coffee and cake. The staff here are so very friendly and the cakes are huge. So fresh and we always stop off in here when we pop to Sinah Warren Hotel. We can definitely recommend the chelsea buns. Spoilt for choice as there is a great variety of cakes and pastries, sweet and savoury.

Very nice sandwiches and rolls they will make them up for you if you can't see what you want. cakes and pastries to die for!!

All baking done on the premises, , quality of the bread and pastries is first class. Great coffee at very reasonable price if you are eating I.

Again been here everytime I have visited Hayling Island. Fantastic cakes, great service, friendly staff. Worth a visit not just for cakes, they do lots of other things too. Happily recommend.
