The restaurant was pretty dark on this rainy day and I passed it 3 times before I saw the black board advertising the lunch special. After easy parking across the street we entered the restaurant, decorated with traditional farm and craft tools of the area. A 3 dish lunch was offered for EUR13. Since this special, and some other dishes are made with turkey of which I am not too fond, I chose a dish with roasted marrow bones. The other speciality of the place are dishes with morels. The EUR13 dish was excellent with a very fine morel sauce and the bone marrow dish was very well done and very good and contained more marrow than I ever encountered. A small piece of local Morbier cheese rounded my order. Railroad fans will like the unusual track lay-out of the area railroads and eye glass fans will like the areas history of the eye frame center of France.
