Bidrage med feedbackI wish I had taken photos before I chowed down my delicious dinner last night. My boyfriend was disappointed that he couldn't take me out to eat for my birthday dinner, but we still had one of the best dinners with their takeout. Lobster BLT on a gluten free bun! Fries. And the fried zucchini spirals yummmmmmy! Everyone else enjoyed their dinner as well but I'm convinced mine was the BEST! This has become my new obsession, and it's nice to have great food (that I don't have to cook) as a go to! Thank you Brickhouse for making my birthday dinner yummy and one to dream of til next time
My Second time here and it was just as good as the first time if not better! Wasn't very crowded at our reservation time , which was a definite plus. I also enjoyed that the hostess allowed us to seat ourselves and what a perfect table to pick next to the fire pit on a cold rainy eve. Our server Lisa was an absolute pleasure as she joked and laughed with us during our dining experience which made me feel at home. Extra special shout out to her for bringing the seltzer water quickly. I decided to wear a beige sweatshirt that just wanted to attract the sauce from the Nashville Hot Cauliflower: Crispy-fried cauliflower drizzled with Nashville hot sauce and served with a side of ranch dressing , which I will say was amazing. It taste like you're actually eating chicken bites .. Who knew , and didn't tell me ? .. lol .. The Crispy Brussels Sprouts and our entrees of ribs Brick House Famous BBQ Ribs Pork loin Texas ribs, beer-braised, and slow smoked with house-made whiskey barbeque sauce. Served with side of creamy coleslaw and fries and Ribeye Steak 12 oz USDA Choice ribeye char-grilled and finished with garlic butter, served with garlic parmesan mashed potatoes and broccoli were cooked very nicely and were delicious. I sipped on the voodoo punch which was really good too. The atmosphere is also very pleasing , the staff is very attentive and courteous. I look forward to returning. Thanks again Brick House Tavern and Tap for another enjoyable dinner.
Ordered the pulled pork grilled cheese with tater tots. To my surprise, my meal consisted of two unmelted slices of kraft singles with a red onion in the middle and lukewarm tots. Unfortunately, Yelp will not let me share the video of the sandwich. My husband and I came in on a whim. We will not be returning.
There are things to like about Brick House Tavern Tap, and a few other things that detract from the overall experience. The space is generally very nice, with an open floorplan, and brick wall along the back of the house. There are booths, high top large tables, sofas, and a bar each offering a different comfort level. I was there as a solitary traveler, and chose to sit at the bar. This may have been a poor choice, as the design leaves a lot to be desired. Although square with barstools along each side, lines of sight are obstructed on each side by the beer tap hardware that extends down from the ceiling and spreads out it large apparatus just above eye level so it is impossible to see the HDTVs behind the bar. Also, after a pour (I had a Summer Shandy), the individual tap continues to drip onto the metal splash guard above the drain, spraying droplets of beer in all directions especially toward me, the customer. While it didn't make me wet, it did reach the wooden bar top, making it damp and causing damage to the finish. There must be a better, cleaner, more sanitary way to deal with drippy taps. The bar ladies were clearly selected for their fit in jeans, more than their tending skills. While I am not complaining about the view, the dropped and broken glasses, cut fingers, and spillage was not the most fun to observe. And, it happened twice during my hour there. The Brick House Cheeseburger seemed a safe bet. It looked good on arrival. Yet, the medium grill requested was much closer to well done. The fries were fine. It was an average burger, at best. The overall sense of this joint is that management does not run a tight ship, and should spend more time training staff to be sure the customer is the center of attention, rather than the interaction between the workers. The menu is pricy for this level of roadhouse experience, and the quality of the menu and service should reflect that. Otherwise, what you get is a dive bar trying to pass itself off as elite.
Decided to order takeout- $8 for this soup and the rest was nothing to write home about either! No other words needed, except... lesson learned, never again!
