Bidrage med feedbackImitation seafood ingredients I ordered the Seafood Delight for $17.50. The ingredients were listed as being lobster, king crab, shrimp and scallops. There was no lobster in it at all, the king crab was substituted with imitation crab, but at least the shrimp was real shrimp. However, the bay scallops had no scallop taste, an unusual texture and did not have the fibers that are contained in real scallops. The ?scallops? did not even meet the quality of imitation scallops that are made from skate; they had a texture more like they were made from surimi which is a fish paste. When I called the restaurant and told her about not having lobster in it, she said they didn?t have any so they included more crab and shrimp. When I told her that it was imitation crab meat she said that she was sorry and would need to change the menu. When I started to tell her about the scallops she said she was too busy to talk but would take my number and call me back. She never returned my phone call. It should be noted that this was not an on-line order. When I called in the order she did not mention that the See Food Delight would not contain lobster or the King Crab. In as much as I want to support small business, it is deceptive to be dishonest about a dish?s ingredients. Unfortunately I paid in cash so that they wouldn?t have to pay the credit card fee, otherwise I would dispute the charge for this dish.
They are the best Chinese take out in the area. I love the orange beef. They make it nice and crispy without too much sauce like other places. It?s absolutely perfect. Also have the best tasting sweet and sour sauce I have ever had. The chicken wings are always crispy and not those overgrown steroid looking wings. This place is just great. Every new item I try on the menu surpasses my expectations. Anyone giving negative reviews is just nitpicking and probably doesn?t have expertise in good Nyc area Chinese food.
I have ordered from this place often. I used their online feature, and both the chow mein and lo mein state that they are made with noodles. When I ordered chow mein and I recieved a bunch of over drenched veggies with rice. When I called the restaurant, she immediately started screaming at me and stated they were too busy to address my issue. And if I wanted it changed then I needed to do it myself. I am HIGHLY disappointed because I order from this place often. Never again.
Been a regular customer for couple years, but I 'm finally done with this place. They messed up my take out order and gave me something different. I got no time to go back and forth and wait. Food isn 't that good and I always used that place as my emergency food bank . I hope people will learn what house special is and won 't give me something else. Never going back if people don 't know what customer order and what to cook for him. Peace.
Not sure what the deal is with these bad reviews. Those people must be ordering wrong. I order from here a couple times a month and I can assure you that New China is an Elite Chinese Take Out Establishment. Sesame chicken is *unmatched* it?s a little on the spicier side so maybe ask for it mild if you don?t like heat. It?s not bottled sauce... they use peppers and oranges and good stuff. Steamed dumplings are fab. Fried are good too I just like steamed better. Egg rolls are delicious. Lo Mein. Delicious. And don?t sleep on the eggplant in garlic sauce!!!!
