Raby Arms - Hartlepool

We went to the restaurant for a Sunday dinner with a group of 5 people. Our meals came out quickly, indicating they were prepared in advance. The brisket was just okay, the chicken breast was inexpensive, and the sweet potato wellington was also mediocre. The buttered green vegetables included chopped cauliflower, leeks, and only one carrot, which was disappointing. For dessert, we all ordered the apple and berry crumb, which was not as described on the website menu. The desserts took a long time to arrive and were underwhelming, consisting mainly of bland apples and very few berries. One person in our group took one spoonful and left the rest. When we received the bill, we noticed that the mains and desserts were charged separately instead of as a set meal, resulting in an extra £10 charge. This was corrected when we brought it up during payment. Overall, we were somewhat disappointed and will need to read more reviews before considering a return visit.

We had a very disappointing meal at this restaurant. We kept having to order items from the menu that we didn't really want to eat because we weren't satisfied with the meal. The pizza was undercooked and the other dishes were very small for the price. They didn't serve toast with the pate, so we had to ask for it separately. There were no specials available, which was unusual. The main radio was playing so loudly that it was hard to relax, and the waitress forgot about us. We won't be returning as there are plenty of other fantastic places to eat in Harrogate. Additionally, there were very few options for vegetarians and vegans.

This pub used to be highly recommended, but unfortunately it is now just another sizzler-style restaurant with average food, service, and drinks. It's okay if you can't travel far for a meal.

Beautiful pub. eating was very good and portions were also quite large. great selection of drinks. the staff was very friendly. faster service. in any case recommend.

Called in for breakfast with my wife. Very friendly welcome. Good choice available, we opted for a small and large breakfast. The meals were lovely, well cooked and presented. Great value, will definitely return
