Bidrage med feedbackMet up with family on a weekday to enjoy the sounds of On The Border while grabbing a fast dinner at Browns on Harsen’s Island, Michigan, which was established in 1946. Took a quick ferry to the island and then straight to Browns. The band was fabulous rocking the tunes of the ‘70s and ‘80s, especially loved hearing nostalgic songs from America. The relaxed atmosphere along the water was an ideal place to meet. The group dined on taco salad, quesadillas, and other deliciousness. We’ll be back again.
In spite of the high water causing the docks to go under, porta potties in use and a soggy lot, they were still going strong. The food was not bad. The Mac and cheese with fries was quite good. Loved the view and being on the water. Went twice this trip to the island and had great service both times. Music was a bit loud but given the crowd it was understandable.
I thought this to be a great place to go as a boater. Food right on the water. Drinks almost at the boat. Lots of variety. Had a weird mac and cheese and some fries. Beer at reasonable price. I did not even wear shows? A bit slow but understandably as it was very busy, and the docks out front busy. In the end, all very good with even better people and boat watching.
No social distancing. No masks on anyone, customers or employees. Packed full; ignoring mandated capacity limits. We had planned to get takeout, but we just left.
Captains chicken tenders were amazingly flavorful , will be getting them again . The atmosphere was awesome , got waited on sufficiently even tho they were crowed not one empty table available and everyone was friendly and nice , shared table with a couple that lived down on my street . It was a good time
