Saravana Bhavan - HARROW

I recently returned to this restaurant after some time away because I was craving their food. We were promptly seated and the servers were friendly, helping us with our order. The food arrived quickly and tasted delicious, all at a reasonable price. Overall, it was another positive experience!

I ordered the business meal as the South Indian meal was not available. my son and my men's meal came before, I had nothing to do with it, but my meal took sometime, I asked where is my meal, and the guy said the cook still does it. when it arrived, it looked good, but had a strange smell, but nothing out-puttin, but the taste was a little out, and finally I came with a bauchece, even when I wrote this review, I still complicate. that is not a bad place, only that I ordered the wrong food and wanted to share my experience, my man has the same problem, but my son has avoided eating and does well. total it was 39,99 €

For a few years we have been here and had no problems ordering vegan food. dhosas are delicious. they also offer a lot of Jain dishes. refilling chutneys and dal, if necessary. yum.

All dishes here are vegetarian, but most are not vegan. if they are a strictly vegan, I would recommend not come into this restaurant because they do not say which dishes are suitable for vegans.

I will review saravana bhavan based on the fact that happy cow suggested that it is vegan-friendly, although to be fair, this is not a claim made by the restaurant itself. there are a few surprising things about the restaurant, especially considering that it is vegetarian at least. first, some of the workers do not seem to know what veganism actually is. second, vegan options are very limited to the least oriented with most cooked with butter or milk (indicated for the document that contains all ingredients, this is the only way to be able to determine what is suitable to eat) and can also not be replaced as they are prefabricated. eating when it arrived was beautiful, spicy but very rich. so this is not necessarily a negative assessment, as the restaurant has never suggested that they are vegan-friendly, more one of our overall experience on the basis of the advices of happy cow, which need to remove the vegan-friendly label on the place. if I were vegetarian, I would have given the restaurant 3/5.
