Bidrage med feedbackI had the best Sunday lunch at the George that I have had in a long time. The staff were amazing and the food was to die for.
This was the first night for the new owners. The welcome was very warm (which is great as Sid Lucy aren’t half a hard act to follow) and the food and wine were absolutely fantastic. It was all faultless and all absolutely delicious, I had wild mushrooms on toast to start, full of flavour, great mix of mushroom lovely crispy toast. Then the cider belly pork with crackling and black pudding: melt in the mouth pork, crispy crackling, really tasty. But I’m going to give a special shout out to the lemon posset. Best I’ve ever had. I will definitely be a regular!
Excellent food, good choice of beer, nice atmosphere, we had a lovely evening. The new owners made us feel very welcome. Highly recommend.
We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant with hosts Sid and Lucy who were incredibly accommodating. The room we stayed in was comfortable and we had a relaxing night's sleep. We were even invited to join the local village at a BBQ and disco event during the coronation weekend, which was a thoughtful gesture from our gracious hosts. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic place to stay in the Ripon area.
My party of four went to this restaurant for Sunday lunch. It was quite busy with a great atmosphere. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious, with a good variety of options and generous portions. My only complaint (which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5) is that the food could have been hotter. By the time we finished eating, it was almost cold. That was disappointing, but overall everything else was great. I would definitely go back and recommend it to others.
