The Dining Room - Harrogate

Found this lovely place by virtue of a local encouraging us in as at first glance we thought it was a formal dining establishment. We were welcomed by a very attentive waitress and enjoyed a homemade fruit scone with cream and jam accompanied by a generous pot of tea and a coffee. The main menu looked good and we will certainly visit again if we are in the area.

We decided to have lunch here during a very cold, blustery, wet but partially sunny day! Outside seating only at the moment due to Covid rules, but it’s a comfortable enclosed terrace, with access to an indoor toilet. Very warm welcome, and started with a very large pot of tea, served with hot water without having to ask. Then homemade mushroom soup, coronation chicken sandwich, skinny fries, followed by chocolate brownie and fruitcake with cheese. All were well made and delicious, although I personally found the fruit cake the least ‘presented’ and a tad dry. But it’s a minor point made only because everything else was so good. We would definitely go again and would recommend it. Try it, you won’t be disappointed.

Just been for lunch with my daughter....had the most fantastic food accompanied by Mimosa's! This place is a hidden gem, can't wait to return.

Stopped off in biking gear Expected to have to sit outside in cold but were allowed in.nice safe atmosphere quirky place. Fab bar upstairs tho not in useGreat drinks n food .not so much for veggie/vegan Will return tho . Nice couple running it. Support local indies.here the gardens big too for warmer days

What a truly brilliant Friday take out! The Creamy Chicken, mushroom petit pois topped with Cheesy mash was epic! Cant wait to have it again The Creme Caramel was a fantastic pud Thank you Chris Lisa
