Bidrage med feedbackI really enjoy the soups, and the sourdough bread is fantastic. The sandwiches are great too. However, I can't shake the feeling that I’m being a bit taken advantage of each time I visit. The prices are just too high. My girlfriend and I ended up spending $50 for lunch for two, which feels a bit unreasonable for what we received. Also, I think it’s time to retire tomato soup—it's not my favorite.
I absolutely love this place! The food is amazing. Their bread is incredible, and honestly, everything on the menu is a favorite of mine. The creativity in their dishes is impressive, yet they still manage to be delicious. You have to try the tomato soup; you won't regret it. If you're visiting the city, this is definitely a must-visit spot. For locals, it’s such a welcoming place that you’ll feel right at home. Plus, they host a monthly pop-up event that I highly recommend attending. It’s a small gathering where everyone sits at a long communal table, and Chef Seth serves a series of stunning seasonal dishes. You really feel like you're part of a larger community, and believe me, the food tastes fantastic!
Visited shortly before closing yesterday. The staff were friendly and happy to share their opinions on the various foods they offered that worked with being pescatarian. The interior is thoughtfully laid out, with a diverse mixture of seating arrangements, from casual, to high tops, and traditional restaurant style. The walls are tastefully decorated and scattered throughout the store are displays showcasing wide selection of provisions, coffee, tea, honey, cured meat, cheese, and beverages they offer. It is hard to imagine that at one time this building housed a convenience store and a fish mongers. I ordered the tuna sandwich to go. The sourdough bread was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Good sized serving of tuna with the right compliment of spread, lettuce and relish. I also ordered a large sourdough loaf to take for home. A choice I certainly didn't regret!
Delicious fresh food! A great find in Harrisonburg. We stopped in for lunch and were greeted like locals. Grilled cheese was a big hit with our 7 year old and we loved the homemade sandwiches! Will stop in again for sure.
I love Gray jay provision, my eyes eat before my mouth at that place, I feel like I’m in a Michelin rated restaurant when I go there Beautiful decor soups are always very very good, sandwiches are delicious and always fresh, staff is great and the best sourdough bread in town Wish I could eat there everyday
