Ocean Basket Harrismith

This is an excellent place to stop for something to eat many different places to choose from. Also, travelling from Durban to Johannesburg, it is time for a leg stretch, toilet run, and fillup car with fuel. We spent time at the Wimpy for lunch and visited a few of the shops. Wimpy, as always, has a good selection of reasonable priced food. When we were there, however, ever there was around 20 that was speaking so loud and laughing that we could not hear one another. Otherwise, service service.

Another Engen garage that we visited. The service was friendly and quick. Diesel pricing was not too bad either. The toilets were very clean for a busy public toilet. Will definitely stop here again. There are a lots of restaurants here and the views are stunning as well. We spent at least 30mins relaxing a bit before continuing on our journey.

This stop has become a favourite on route to the south coast from Joburg and back again. Aside from being well situated because its close enough to half-way, it's always clean, busy, and has a good variety of outlets to choose from for food/drink. There is a conference/venue facility there too and the mountain backdrop makes it very picturesque.

Definitely the best place to have rest and a meal if your traveling between JHB KZN. The flowers are stunning and the view is amazing. The toilets are always clean no matter the time of year. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from and you can get a quick take away or have a proper sit down meal.
