Hershey Family - Harrisburg

My husband and I are from Florida. We were looking for something different, not a chain restaurant, to eat breakfast at. I google searched and found Hershey road family restaurant. Food was great, atmosphere was awesome, and just overall warm place to eat. I recommend this place for anyone who likes a family style place to eat.

First, I strongly disagree with the individual who posted that this restaurant is a dump with overpriced food. The food is always excellent, with LARGE portions, and even offers a senior menu. While they do not have a gluten free menu, every time I have been there, including yesterday, the wait staff has always been very helpful in checking with the chef to ensure that what I was contemplating did not contain any ingredients that would be harmful with me. Several trips to the kitchen later, smiling and happy to accommodate my needs, our waitress served me my yummy entree, which was so big, I had to take some home, as always.

Food is ridiculously good. I've tried a number of dishes including the chicken broccoli alfredo, chicken parm, burger, gyro, and stuffed peppers. I didn't find a single thing wrong with any of them, and they were all very flavorful, delicious, and the perfect temperature. The service is also incredible. Every server we've ever had has been extremely attentive and courteous. Oh, and don't forget to get a piece of their delicious pie for dessert I recommend the chocolate cream pie. A family favorite!!

Great place to eat. My husband and I have eaten here numerous times. Good hot food, good coffee and attentive wait staff.

Wow! We came upon this restaurant on the exit our Airbnb was on and WOW! Fantastic food and great servings for the price! When they say homemade! It is ! Will keep this restaurant in mind on our many travels down and up Route 81!
