Colonial Diner - Harrisburg

The roast beef was tough and the cole slaw was terrible. The shrimp was undercooked. The bratwurst sandwich was tasty, but the shrimp appetizer was disappointing. They also serve instant mashed potatoes.

The fried potatoes were extremely hard and underseasoned. They did not live up to the expectations and were very disappointing. Not everyone enjoys excessively crispy potatoes. I definitely will not be returning to this restaurant.

I initially tried the open-faced road's bark meat and thought it was great. But my life changed when I tried their chili cheese fries. They are amazing and truly had me savoring every bite. Overall, I highly recommend trying them.

People are nice... food isn't bad it's also not great either....

The food came out luke warm. Great flavor but not hot enough. They were busy so I will take that as a good reason. Our waitress wouldn't even get one star. Amy was rude. We were sat at a table that actually rocked back and forth when we asked if she could do something about it she told us she didn't know. Fair enough then go ask someone else what can be done...didn't happen. I asked another waitress and she offered us to move to the next table which we did. We were eating and the people in the booth next to us left. Silverware were put on the table before it was wiped. Amy came over with her cloth and wiped around the silverware. I told another worker and he recleaned the table. Amy asked if we wanted more drinks my husband and I answered no but our friends were thinking about it she didn't give them a chance to answer and said again DRINKS!! When we paid I complained to the young man and he said ya sometimes she is in a bad mood Well then (Karen) I mean Amy you should stay home and not take it out on paying customers. Ok done venting...usually our experiences here are good ones. However today Amy happened!!!
