Ten-Der Pizza - Hanover

The pizza at this restaurant was really good. We walked in, placed our order, and had to wait for it to be cooked, but it was fresh and hot when we took it to go. We would definitely recommend it!

As I’m in Hanover, ON on business I’m not having luck with any of the pizza places I’ve gone to. I went in to Ten-Der pizza. I asked if they had slices and the lady behind the counter told me they had 1 left. It was one of the smallest slices I’ve ever seen. It looked like it had been there for a few hours. I decided to take it anyway. She told me it was 3.00 but I can have a drink for .50 more. It sounded like a good deal so I took it. I went to pay with my debit and I was told there is a 5.00 minimum if I use my debit card. There was only one slice left and I didn’t want anything else. Again, I was told about the 5.00 debit card minimum. So, I had no choice but to leave. They have a advertisement outside of the restaurant that mentions the 3.50 deal. There is no mention of the deal being cash only. Why advertise this if you don’t accept all types of payment? That’s bad business and they will never have my business.

This pizza place has the best pizza in town. They are a family rest that has been in Hanover for many,many, years. It is home made pizza.

We ordered pizzas tonight and asked for double cheese. When we picked it up and got it home there was next to no cheese on it. I called to ask if we had been charged for the cheese cause we did not get it and assumed they had misunderstood our order. She said she would make a new one that would be ready in fifteen minutes. I really did not want to go out as it is -20 out tonight and I really don't like to return food but this pizza did not look good like it was bread and sauce and you could count the stings of cheese so I said sure we will take a new one assuming they would want to make a customer happy and make a yummy new pizza. When I got there she opened the box and said sorry but this is double cheese we are not fixing that. I could not believe this what a waste of time I said I had thought we where getting a new pizza she claims she said to bring it in and they would look at it. Why would I have gone out in this weather so they could have a look. Now not only is this a gross pizza it's a cold gross pizza. So I asked for my money back to which I was told they don't do refunds. I asked her to call the owner she said they can't because it is after six at night and they are not allowed to call that late. I explained that if a customer is not happy then a refund is called for. She said that she was a minor and I was making her uncomfortable and I said well return my money and I would be happy to leave. So she took the money out of the till and threw it on the counter and told me not to come back. I worked in retail and now a restaurant and if I told a customer not to come back my boss would not be happy.

I have boated Tender my whole life. They have great pizza. But in recent years I have decided to make changes in my life that include adopting a plant based diet. I made a request for plant based cheese and was ignored. I can understand if it's not possible. But at least a response might be nice. Hopefully one of the numerous pizza places I town will offer plant based cheese one day soon. Whoever does gets my biz!
