Bia Hoi Junction - Hanoi

Pick your spot well and you can eat and drink for very little and it's nice just to sit, drink and watch the hustle and bustle. However just be aware of how busy it is and how much hassle you get from the staff trying to get you into their place to eat/drink.

Nice place to hang out and chit chat over cheap beer. Limited choice of finger foods though.

This restaurant is the perfect spot to enjoy bia hoi (fresh beer) for only $0.50 a glass. You can sit on one side for 5k or head to the market for better glasses and seating for 7k on the other side of the road. Pull up a stool on the street and spend the evening drinking away. You are sure to meet other people to chat with and may even catch a whole band playing in the street. The prices are very reasonable and even if you end up having a few too many, they will keep track of what you owe. I absolutely love this place.
