La Fogata Taquería - Hammond

Outside looks very cozy and inviting but inside was somewhat cold. There was no person to greet and seat me at the door. I like stood there for about 3 or 4 minutes looking at the menu. It was my first time there. Now the woman at the front counter was very nice and that made smile. Since I wasn't invited to sit down I just got my two chicken tacos to go. Ciltrato, onions and cheese , sour cream on the he side , and mild green sauce. I will say this , their tacos were small, but very good. The flavors of the tacos were excellent. I would recommend thia restaurant for a take out lunch type of thing. However, I may go back with family to experience what it's like to dine in and then I'll let you know how it was.

The linch buffet is good for the price!! Definitely worth the prices and the chicken and rice is amazing. They have different things on the buffet from fresh veggies, fish, potatoes, and cake!! Worth every penny and I cant wait to go back!! Worth the drive worth the price and the customer service was also amazing.

Just left the LaFagata Had terrible food. Order red snapper at market price and cooked me and old red snapper and tried to cover it by smothering it with garlic and red onions and double batter. It was awful I couldn't eat it and they swear the get their red snapper daily. And still charged me for it. Never going back.

I came for tacos and rice when I got my food it was cold. When the waiter came to see if I was ok be she noticed I was eating much. I told her and she never came back to the table to say anything. I had to take the stuff to the front. The chips tasted funny I noticed that they just sit under a lamp all day. I highly don’t recommend going here.

So went there for lunch Wednesday 4/19/23 at 11:30ish. I ordered the taco special and added a taco. The beans and rice are great. The tacos were really bad. The steak (carne asada) was way over cooked. It was actually burnt. I will not be going back.
