Tosca Browns - Hamilton

Lovely meal and the setting was warm and comforting on a winters day. Reasonable prices and nice coffee.

Can be a little cramped, food was very good, although a very limited menu. The premises are very basic and not particularly attractive - it looks a little cluttered and tight on space, and doesn't look overly clean.

A beautiful cafe with a range of seating areas. Good variety of choices on the menu. Lovely service.

I'm a little habitual. I return to the same café each time I visit the area. On this chilly winter Sunday morning I find it's closed! That's a shame. I walk the streets of Hamilton, it's like a ghost town, everything is closed. Frustrated, I turned to Trip advisor for a solution to my patient yet rumbling stomach. Ok..."Tosca Browns" reviews off the chart...and yes, it's open. I stroll 600m up the Main Street, I pass one person then notice a couple seated out front of Tosca Browns. I cross the street and enter the establishment...It's like walking into a massive surprise party!!! People standing shoulder to shoulder, everybody but me knew why they were there! Seriously, there must be over a hundred plus people seated throughout. It's got a great vibe, very chic. Plenty of people waiting for their takeaway caffeine kick-start to their Sunday, The staff are busy, well presented, organized and holding it together under the massive weight of having everybody that's alive within 100 kilometers of town seated within their four walls. I sit out back beside a group of Paramedics enjoying a fresh brew. They have a knack for finding the best coffee in town to debrief and share their entertaining stories. My meal...eggs on toast. It's also a pass. Will sleepy old 1900's Hamilton ever be the same again...Fitzroy style trend has arrive. No wonder the competition doesn't bother about opening their doors. 'Bon Appétit'

I love the coffee and the food is usually good and healthy. A nice place for breakfast, lunch or coffee.
