Dumpling Story - HAMILTON SOUTH

We cannot wait to go there again. Dumplings are fantastic. Fried rice delicious. Looking forward to trying more on the menu. Jennie H

After reading the recent reviews here, I was looking forward to an awesome meal but it was just average at best.It is a small restaurant and we were crammed in with other diners basically sharing the same table. The venue is too small for the number of tables.Service was prompt considering how busy they were. They also do take away so that slows them down a bit.The dumplings were disappointing, the pastry was way too thick and they lacked flavour.Noodles were ok but the bbq pork buns were basic.The meals are well priced but I would happily pay more for better quality

I get the pan fried pork dumplings once a week. Honestly never had a drama with the food always spot on. Highly recommend!! The staff are always pleasant too....

The food was generally ok, but sitting at the table near the toilet was a big mistake. The untreated wood crates which are used as the wall decor have lots of wood filings coming off them, sprinkling all over my table and chair. Initially I was wondering why so much wood filings everywhere, later I discovered the little bore holes all over the crates. At checkout, I mentioned my discovery to the guy who runs the place and he said he knows about the borers and he didn't look concerned which was concerning.

Great atmosphere. Enjoyed the food and company. Could have had more condiments sauces flavours with some dishes.
