This is one of the best places in Bermuda for fish cakes, fries, and classic comfort food, but it truly shines when it comes to its crab and chicken cakes. They are undoubtedly the best cake makers on the island. While people often top them with mayo, ketchup, or relish, they are so delicious that they really don't need any extras. During lunch hours, it can get busy, but the wait times are usually short. Overall, it's definitely worth a visit—make that a few visits!

Mr. Byrdie was incredibly welcoming and took the time to explain the menu options since it's a local takeaway. I ordered a toasted sandwich with fried egg and fish cake. It was absolutely delicious—an unusual combination, but a beloved local favorite. If this place weren't a takeaway, it would definitely earn 5 stars for atmosphere as well. It's a fantastic choice if you're looking for an authentic local experience.
