Sunrise Restaurant - Hamilton

This retro restaurant is a clean and inviting spot with friendly staff. However, the food could use some improvement. I've never had scrambled eggs that were so flat before, and the French toast seemed to have very little egg in it.

Upon entering this restaurant, I felt like I had been transported back to 1971, but not in a good way. I decided to try the Western omelette and ordered a glass of lemonade. Unfortunately, the lemonade was served from a plastic jug, which was disappointing. The omelette was mostly filled with onions, which were also undercooked. Overall, my experience was not enjoyable and I will not be returning as there are plenty of better breakfast spots in downtown.

I came to this restaurant to have breakfast with my son, but we have been waiting for 40 minutes for our bacon and eggs. A place like this should be able to serve breakfast quickly and efficiently. I will be returning to The Jet Cafe next time.

The service here is very good. Lots of refills on coffee and the meals were decent. Eggs cooked well. Home fries not too greasy. The price was reasonable.

We dropped in to this restaurant to have lunch and had an order of pancakes and fish and chips. The service is fantastic and the food was basic but well prepared and certainly tasty. If you are looking for an unpretentious place for a quick meal try this one.
