We had the three meats, three sides, two corn muffins. Total $39.00 More than two people could eat. Beer was $6.00 for 20 ounces. (bargin) With a choice of ten draughts. Smoked Chicken tender and moist, you will not find better.Fried Chicken juicy and greatRibs were goodBeans were tastyColeslaw with no mayo was greatMack and Cheese is homemade and greatCorn muffin which was toasted went well with the meal.Nice simple tables with a bench or chair, or take out.Great touch the co-owner came over and introduced herself to talk about the meal which we did.
Their fried chicken is incredible here. I also really enjoyed their mac and cheese and beans. To me the cornbread didn't taste fresh and seemed pretty greasy. It's very casual dining but the service is very good.
Food was alright but I am not a fan of the way you go up and order. When out for dinner I don't like the fast food effect
Been here a few times now. Each time the ribs were not too great, dry and not very tender, and for the cost I would expect them to be way better. Pulled pork is also a bit dry and I'm not a fan of the raw cabbage they toss on the top of the sandwich version. The 40 creek whisky bbq sauce taste like its from a bottle and not home made (too sweet!). I really like their Mac and cheese however, it's extra saucy and not too salty. Overall when I pay $50 for two people for a basic take out meal I expect much higher quality. Bbqs is supposed to be fall off the bones tender, not dry and chewy. Step up your game southern smoke.
I can't get enough of the food here. Living within a short walking distance from here is really dangerous for my wallet and my thighs. but it's tooooo good! The burnt ends are my favourite, the brisket is amazing, and the ribs are to die for. All the sides are great too - especially the beans.
