Sankofa Dining - Hamilton

A quiet and wonderful ambience. Nachos were amazing. So authentic just like the ones in Mexico.

The restaurant was very quiet because we visited during the restrictions on the number of diners, but the food was good and the service was excellent. The one detriment of the evening was that it seemed to take a long time for the food to get to us so some of the food on the three plates was not as warm as we would have liked.

Appetizers were very good, net not so good. Definitely for what you have.

Went for a date night and had checked the menu online in advance just to get an idea what they had. The server was super nice, but the food wasn't exactly what we expected. The chicken wings were great, but the Calamari did not look like the picture they had online. It didn't taste fresh and was sat in a really sweet sauce that made the whole dish quite soggy. Chicken Burger was a little disappointing with the smallest fried chicken patty barely visible under the bungalow, but at least the frits were good.

Friendly staff and good food. Great portions. Only terrace dining available, but look forward to the visit again when fully open. Ian and Stephanie
