Bidrage med feedbackThe staff are wonderful, and attentive to all. It isn't the stuffy overbearing attention of some high end restaurants-relaxed, sociable and accommodating. I've been here a number of times with small groups of 4 to larger groups of a dozen, and all have had good experiences. Food is a little slow, but there isn't a rush when you are enjoying your evening! When it does arrive, the tastes are distinct and well prepared. Some complain about the location, but they are often busy- this shows that most will travel for good food.
We (hubby, my mom and dad and I) visited Romano's for an early dinner on Saturday evening.Chloe was our server; charming, sweet, a little sass, with a high level of efficiency. A true asset to this establishment. Two guests had the veal parm and by all accounts it was excellent. My mom had the roasted mushroom ravioli which she greatly enjoyed. I had the risotto di lisio and it was soooo good. Everything was fresh, well-seasoned and tasty. We shared a bottle of Folonari Ripasso; my dad had an Italian beer. This was my fourth time visiting Romano's and will definitely return. Thanks for a wonderful evening!
First time here, won a gift certificate. So I ordered the risotto for take out. I absolutely loved it!!! Best risotto ever!
This is on our short list of places to go. We recently went for hubby's birthday along with our young granddaughters. We had asked for a quiet, separate table and they did the best they could. The right side was set up for 2 large parties and the second part of the right side was set up for promotional filming. My concern was for the other customers (little girls talk a LOT). They serve fresh bread and butter as a starter. The adults all had pasta dinners and the kids shared a cheese pizza. There is a proper pizza oven for those that are interested. The pasta dishes were great. We are all foodies and usually come to the conclusion we could do better at home and this place always comes through. They have a great and varied selection. Don't be afraid to ask questions and try something new. The salads are always fresh and the antipasto platter (at the next table) looked fantastic! There is a great wine list as well as beer and cocktails. There are daily specials on a board when you come in. We know that we will always be served fresh food, in a great atmosphere (don't let the outside deter you) and the service is excellent.
Recently decided to have drinks and dinner with 2 couples we have known for years. We wanted a place with good food, but also a place where we could talk without practically yelling at each other. Romano's is both. We all had pasta dishes, and everyone commented on how delicious dinner was. Each couple said they would definitely return. Dinner was reasonable, $80 per couple with a bottle of red wine shared between three, a beer and a single glass of white. Wine price was typical of restaurants, double the LCBO price.
