Ray's Food Liquor - Hamilton

I made a reservation on OpenTable and even updated it when we ran late. However, when we arrived at the restaurant, it was closed. This was very frustrating, as there was no indication on the website that it would be closed.

I highly recommend this restaurant. The food was fantastic for our family of five. Delicious dishes and friendly staff.

Upon our arrival, our table was clean and prepared. The hostess/server was prompt in taking our drink order and delivering them quickly. The food was mostly enjoyable, although my 1/4 chicken was a bit dry. The fries were tasty, and everyone else at the table enjoyed their salads and sides. It seemed that there was an issue with the HVAC system, as it was quite warm at our table. Despite this, we had a positive experience overall and plan to visit again in the future.

Excellent fried chicken. Good flavours, the chicken was juicy on the inside, crispy on the outside. I did find it to be a bit on the oily side, as you can see in the picture. While the chicken was 5/5, the fries were 3.5/5.It’s not a place you’d come to if you’re looking for something super cheap but I do think it’s reasonably priced for the quality of the food and the atmosphere.Will need to try a chicken sandwich next time.I was in a bit of a hurry and the waitress who served me did a great job accommodating. Good service by her!

They give enough food to fill your belly. It was so good and worth it, I'd come back here again especially for the cornbread. It was to die for and ther service was great as well. Food was freshly served and made well, just good food all around, definitely will be back.
