This establishment has been closed - owed landlord over $250K in rent it was only a mediocre and over priced establishment, but location was its only feature

Outdoor - summer months - hard to bet in the Hamilton area except for Barangas which is a close 'tie'!

We were at harbour front enjoying the Tall Ships on Canada Day 150. We were looking to have a lunch and drink on the water so Sarcoa was the perfect venue. We were seated on the patio and waited.... the owner (?) was the only staff visible.We waited at the table approx 20 minutes and no one came to give us a menu or take a drink order. We decided to go to the outdoor bar instead to get a beer and buy food elsewhere. There was only one bartender ( and cash only policy) working. By 1:30 pm the bar area was filling up with others like us looking for a nice lunch on Canada Day. The patio area for eating was full but most did not have food or even a drink!Such a lost opportunity! We will not go back and we heard others at the bar saying the same thing.We had a great meal on King William instead for half the price and super service.Sarcoa was not even decorated for the big day- all other much smaller diners in the area at least had Canada flags everywhere. Perhaps the owner did not want to pay staff the extra for the holiday to work.....

This is not a place to go if you want good food and service . Went with a large group and the gratuity was add to the bill which I do not have issue with . I do not know whomanages this restaurant but they need to get out of there office and actually work the front of the house and lead by example . Our server could not have cared less if we enjoyed our meal have pride in what you do for a living . As some who has worked in this industry for over 30 years at very high end establishments can safely say the owners here need to start hiring better staff. One of my former bosses at Orso would say you got time to lean you got time to clean so make your staff turn off there cell phones there at work !! I also was reading the owners rent here is $35000 a month do these people have more money than brains ,that's a lot of overhead for any establishment . I would be cutting my losses or signing a new lease .

Situated on water, great view, nice ambience. Food a bit pricey but the item I ordered was very good, had to share though as too much to eat for lunch. We came at a busy time, so service wasnt good, so suggest going when not so busy. Great place to eat at however, right beside the water and great place to walk around and enjoy the area.
