Roost - Hamden

One of the best places around! I can 't believe I hesitated to try it. Now that i have, I am hooked. I keep trying to get others to check it out- but then again I want them to stay EXACTLY the way they are now. I know once it 'picks up ' I 'm hoping the quality of food and service don 't change.

The Chicken and Waffles Sandwich was a solid A-. Good clean decor, good crispy chicken. (The grilled chicken was a bit dry and underwhelming, so stick with the crispy. The kids meals come with a main, apple, drink, and ice cream for $6, so I definitely recommend that if you have kids.

Great option if your looking for quality fast food. The sandwiches are your best bet, the regular fried chicken isn't so great though. They have an interesting pick up system in which you place your order and pay before arriving to the resturaunt and your meal will be ready upon arrival. Overall Roost is pretty good.

My fiancé and I dined here and we both had a wonderful experience. He ordered the chicken, while I opted for one of their bowls. The service was prompt and the food was incredibly flavorful. The street fries were absolutely outstanding! We also enjoyed some milkshakes that were delicious. Overall, we had a fantastic meal and we will definitely return. The prices were reasonable considering the portion sizes; his sandwich featured a generously sized piece of fried chicken that was wonderfully juicy. The only downside was that fries (even the plain ones) aren't included as a side with the sandwich, which feels a bit off for the price. I highly recommend this place!

I visited for the first time today and was pleasantly surprised by the clean environment, tasty food, and affordable prices. The staff was welcoming, and my custom sandwich was made quickly. I can't wait to come back and sample more items from the menu. Highly recommend!
