Gasthaus Pilio - Hamburg

My wife and I have visited on numerous occasions with family; our grown up children and grandchildren, the welcome and service remains consistently friendly and the food just delivers very good value for money. I can truly say we have never been disappointed.

Nice place for some typical Greek food adapted to German taste.The food is exactly what you expect from a place like this. Good value for the money always an ouzo from the house. Dry bread without any oil or garlic butter, and a salat before the meal are also included.The Ambiente is pretty outdated and could use an modern and fresh upgrade but never the less it is a nice place to have a diner with friends. The restaurant is having many regular guests also coming for some drinks after work, so sometimes you have the feeling you landed in a neighbourhood bar. The beer they serve might be not that great, typical north German beer would be nice if they would offer some other taste of beer even if it was just bottled beer. But I must say after the first ouzo and 2 beers you did get used to the beer so no worries.And like said the price and the quality of the food are a match.To make a long story short the place is worth a visit have fun "jamas!"

We stopped there on our way to the coast to grab a quick lunch.Pilio seemed a good choice in the center of Niendorf near the open market.We had some typical Greek food that was fresh and tasty.Staff is really friendly and made some efforts to share some French words with us.Good value for money.

The typical Greek around the corner, good if you just stumble hungry from the subway, the food is good, service friendly, yet only three stars there...

Really good Greek food. its always full so book a table.
