Stillington Fisheries - Hambleton

Called today for some fish and chips after a very long day. Amazing service amazing friendly staff and amazing food. Couldn't ask for more.

Called in on a Friday lunchtime whilst passing through Stillington. What a treat! Haddock was cooked in light crispy batter and the chips were tasty and beautifully browned. The secret is that all the cooking is done in dripping rather than oil and you can certainly tell the difference. Will definitely return and highly recommend that you go out of your way to visit this little gem!

Best Fish Chips with the best batter I've ever had! This is a Yorkshire gem! I usually take all the batter off my fish as I am always disappointed with the amount of grease and soggy batter. Not here! Crispy batter and very tasty Haddock. Ate the lot, a first for me. No grease in the bottom of the tray, another first for me! Fish is cooked to order. The owners are lovely decent people. Working hard through a very difficult time. Be kind, be patient and you will not be disappointed!!

We drove through Stillington after a day out. Have to say stopped to buy 2 portions of haddock and chips. Honestly haven't tasted better tasting fish in the 2 years that we have been back in the UK. Only downside is they are over 40 min from where we live. Gutted!

We headed here on a Tuesday, when it was open from 5-7, despite TripAdvisor saying it was closed. We were greeted with a warm welcome and left with a delicious meal. The portions are not the largest but I am certainly not complaining, having been left more than satisfied. Definitely recommended.
