Halls Head Fish and Chips

Excellent service and very nice fish and chips. Fish was tasty and chips nice and crunchy, just how I like them. Staff very helpful and friendly.

The chips taste odd as does the fish. I never visit this place anymore but my parents love the taste .

Decided to try this for a takeaway fish and chips meal on a Saturday evening. Phone order service was good. Mixed reviews of consumers ranged from Good to just OK. The fish had nice light batter which was quite crispy at first but quickly lost the crispiness while on the plate. The meal came across as being quite bland and not the fresh tasty treat that a good fish and chip meal normally should be. May try again sometime in the future in case this was just a one-off experience.

Good phone manner when you ring through your order, friendly, efficient. Fish batter crunchy, makes a noise when you bite into it - non soggy. Generous crispy chips and we ordered a potato fritter each and were given two. After our favourite F C spot went "off" a few months ago we looked around for somewhere else wonderful. A meal of really good fish and chips with a beer or a wine and a fresh bread roll at the beach is a truly great thing - Michelin star not required. This place is right up there. Very good.

Very good service and good quality fish and chips. My favourite local fish and chips shop. Always welcomed with a smile and she remembers our order off by heart.
