A Taste Of India - Halifax

Taste of India is a food stand in the Scotia Square Mall is a mainstay of Indian food in Halifax. John and his wife provide authentic Indian food for very reasonable prices. The quality of the food is constantly very high and the portions generous.

Purchased my lunch here on for the first time. Hard to decide what to order as there is a number of things and not really sure what they are. I ordered the chicken curry as unsure what was what in the steam table. It was delicious and I will be more brave next time. Chicken, I had lemon rice and sauce over top. Helpful would be descriptors or pictures with an explanation of what you are ordering. Obviously many people like as always a line up.

Two-meat plate for C$10. Food tasted better than I expected from a fast food place. Conveniently located at the Scotia Square food court.

During out stay we ate at this restaurant a few times... the food was always great and daily deals had us trying different things.

I are here a coulee of times. The food was fresh and reasonably priced, try the curry and yellow rice.
