Bidrage med feedbackWent here for the Trivia Night. It gets really, really loud in the evening so keep that in mind. It’s more of a spot to have drinks and relax, chat with friends. I personally enjoyed the atmosphere for trivia night. I had the Lion’s Head Burger which I liked. My other friends had the flat bread and wings respectively, which they also enjoyed. I will say the portion size of things is not massive when compared to the price. I tried a frozen margarita with a friend but she mentioned it is not as frozen as it is supposed to be so guess that was a bit less than ideal. I would say the food is passable and it’s a nice spot to have few drinks and relax. Nothing exceptional but good enough with regards to most things.
The new building is very nice, lots of room, it can get quite loud in there but the atmosphere is amazing. My first time visiting I had a server who was not very friendly they rolled their eyes when I ordered a cider and they were all out. Second time visiting had a very lovely energetic server. Food was really good, I had the veggie burger and mashed potatoes. My companion had the steak but had complained about everything being luke warm/ cold, but couldn’t care because he was hungry. Food was out relatively fast, service was good.
It's been a while since I went to this restaurant. But I can't forget the taste of this restaurant's “seafood chowder”. It's really more delicious than other restaurants' seafood chowder. Everyone has a different taste, but for me, this is the delicious seafood chowder that I have tried in Halifax. You should go and taste it.
"I had a fantastic visit today! The staff, food, and service were all amazing. It had been years since I last visited, as I have since moved away. It was wonderful to see the amazing makeover they have done to the place."
Highly recommend trying this restaurant. I ordered the big breakfast and my wife had the bacon Benny but switched to English hashbrowns. The portion sizes were huge, which was great. The scrambled eggs were cooked perfectly and the hashbrowns, although a bit greasy, were good. The sausage was high quality and delicious. I wasn't a fan of the deep fried tomato, but the beans were great. My wife enjoyed her Benny as well, which was served in larger portions. The standard house coffee was ideal. The interior redesign of the building was a nice change. The restaurant is fully accessible, although the parking lot was unpaved at the time. Despite the servers seeming a bit overwhelmed, the service was great. I would definitely return in the future.
