San Benito House - Half Moon Bay

We visited a few times in half moon bay! great eating and atmosphere inside and outside. casual, relaxing and fun. kai could not have been more nice, thank you kai, until soon!

Beautiful selection sandwiches. they are very large and can share. very casual with outside seats and tables. when we were on a wed for lunch, two young played a really nice music in the terrace.

Great sandwich. Live music outside. Acoustic guitar and violin. Perfect atmosphere for lunchtime eating.

My friends brought me here to try the sandwiches they raves. it was a busy lunch on Saturday and the line was out. I had ordered the BLT sandwich. the server asked me what else I wanted on my sandwich. I assumed that speck, salat and tomaten were in sandwich, so I said: madonnaise. we sat outside and I started eating my sandwich when I thought something was missing in my sandwich. my sandwich had only speck and mayonnaise. the line was still long so I didn't go back to let the staff know. I told the cashier when the line was short.

Okay, I love this place! it is a great place to have some drinks, and has a lot of history. However, we saw that there was a happy hour, and that margaritas was part of what was considered a happy hour menu. it was at 5:40 when we ordered. the barkeeper has calculated us the regular price. I went outside and took a picture of the sign that said happy hour 3-6. I showed the bartender my picture of the hours. she crumbled her shoulders and said: the computer cost it, so I give 3 stars. although all the other 5 stars were. because the computer was correct, instead of the customer who had a picture, she just took the sign on the outside of the building. I don't recommend going here for happy hour as far as I'm concerned, that's wrong advertising. but the drinks and atmosphere are still good.
