Sam's Cafe - Half Moon Bay

We recently visited for the first time and had a wonderful experience. We ordered lunch for our family of 5 to go and ate sitting on the sand on the beach! It was great! The portions were very generous, and 4 out of 5 of us had leftovers for dinner. Next time we're in Half Moon Bay, we'll be back.

Sam reminds me when I visited my mother. There were a variety of ways to eat, and breakfast was served until closing. Everything is cooked to your taste and made with love. At Sam my daughter had a grilled cheese and a fresh tomato sandwich. I've never offered that in other restaurants, and she said it was delicious! I had a Cheeseburger and Pommes. We saw that a server delivered something to another table that looked so good that we only had to ask what it was. It was a kind of diet from large beautiful strawberries and bananas along with a choice of meat. It was really something. Next time.

Good breakfast fare. Ordered a chicken fried steak, with eggs over-easy, fried potatoes, toast and coffee. The service was fine with my coffee cup never emptying. The chicken fried steak was crispy on the outside, while the interior was hot and tender and the eggs were great. I sat myself at the counter and the restaurant staff was buzzing along, but I never lacked for coffee.
