Pollo Abuela - Half Moon Bay

We are locals and ordered whole roasted spicy chicken which came with 3 sides. It was our first visit but not our last! Chicken was moist, the rice seasoned very well and the sauces (garlic, chili, habanero) were excellent!! They have so many sides to select from but amazed how good the chicken was. We plan to use them for our holiday catering so glad they are now open.

I was not expecting to be blown away by this place. By the weight of the bag I knew they weren't fxkn around. You get a serious bang for your buck here. It's also nice to be able to have it delivered. I had the Cajun thicken and siracha wings. Both were cooked to perfection. Great for family meals.

So nice to have this little shop in town. They have a surprisingly large (and increasing) menu. I have eaten there a half dozen times since it opened, and taste and quality are consistent. The service is as pleasant as the food.Today, at Sam’s suggestion, I bought the Alaskan pankow fish and chips for a 92 year old friend who hasn’t enjoyed many foods recently. She raved about the dinner, and ate double her usual portion. This is high praise indeed!

Great little place in Half Moon Bay in the Safeway shopping center. I had a fabulous lunch of moist and spicy chicken with cauliflower and herbed tomatoes over rice. Really tasty and a feast for a really good price. Eventhough it's small inside our party of four had a great time trying lots of dishes and getting to know one of the brothers that was running the establishment for the day. It's the same family as HMB Kabob which was also a great addition for Half Moon Bay. Go check it out. You won't be disappointed. Looking forward to trying the cilantro chicken next time!

The wife and I went in for lunch today and ordered the steak sandwich, 4 piece chicken deal and a 6 piece lemon pepper wings. Within 10-15 min our meal was ready and delicious. The wings were very tasty and had the perfect lemon taste and juicy chicken. The deep fried lightly breaded 4 piece was juicy and very flavorful. The Steak sandwich was huge, like getting two in one. Very good steak and bread was fresh and texture was spot on. My wife was very happy with her sandwich and said Mac and cheese was good but Stouffers still King. I got the mashed potatoes and gravy. Sides are good. Looking forward to tasting the creamy chicken cilantro pasta.
