Hadn't been to the Oasis in ages. Stopped in for a dinner. Had a homestead burger and the perch fish and chips. Both were excellent quality and clearly freshly made. Was impressed all around. This is a busy spot and you will have a small wait every time you go - the price to pay for fresh made food. Highly recommend!

The servers were fast, friendly and efficient. From the hot fresh cut fries, to the hot dogs, to the fun oldies music playing, it's great way to start off summer!

After a Sunday drive to Port Dover, the family got hungry on the way back to Hamilton. We thought plan A would be fish and chips by the grand river at Nessies. Too bad they were closed. Plan B was the old footlong hotdog stand just before crossing the Grand river. 89 years it has been there. It's gotta be good! Right? Wrong! Hot dogs were ok and only impressed my 8 year old daughter. The rest of us looked at our over cooked, crusted "FRESH cut my eye" fries. Cleary the oil is the same age as the establishment. I recommend for the 90th birthday they renovate the entire place and also change the cooking oil. Just because it is old doesn't mean it need to be "authentic old". While I was contipating what to call this review, my 8 year old just finished telling me "my tummy hurts". I agreed and expressed "so does mine dear! So does mine".Pass on by next time.
