Alcan Motor Inn - Haines Junction

I stayed in a room with a kitchenette with my dogs and family. I thought it was a really nice option for a 2-star motel. The room was very clean, had large fluffy towels, a mini fridge, and a powerful microwave. Despite being late, the check-in process was super easy.

I have visited Alcan Inn several times and it has always been wonderful! The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean, and the view from the window is truly remarkable! I can't wait to explore Kluane National Park and Reserve!

My partner and I made a reservation two months in advance at this restaurant and traveled a long distance to get there, arriving late at night. Despite having "check-in times," the place seemed closed and no one was there to assist us. We were not informed of this beforehand and felt confused. We tried to get a refund due to the inconvenience of having our two dogs in the car and being turned away after a 12-hour drive. The person we spoke to on the phone was rude and unhelpful when we asked about our reservation. It was clear they did not want to help us, even though we were polite in our request for a refund. The customer service we experienced was disappointing and left us feeling frustrated.

Room was beautiful and updated. the beds were clean and comfortable. water was hot. lots of parking space for trucks and trailers. not complaining. we originally wanted to stay in whitehorse, but all motels looked sketchy and had no good parking. we have taken care of the safety of our trailer and it is content in these hotels. that felt like the better option

We were “winging” it on the Alcan Highway and got lucky to get their last room. We arrived quite late, but our key and receipt we’re waiting. Not only was the room very clean, but had been recently updated. From the floors to the paint on the wall to the bathroom sink, toilet and tub it all looked brand new. The bathroom had extra shampoo and lotion and they were generous with the coffee. Was very happy!
