J's Diner - Hagerstown

We have visited many times and always leave feeling satisfied.

They were quite busy handling a large takeout order, and the waitress apologized for the wait. However, I have to say, it was absolutely worth it. I think I just had the best French toast of my life! I can't wait to return!

The ambiance in this restaurant is incredibly cozy, and the menu is simply outstanding. The French toast is crafted using French bread, which elevates it to a whole new level. It's also very kid-friendly. And did I mention they offer coffee milkshakes? If you haven't dined here before, you definitely need to give it a try!

I didn’t even get a chance to try the food. It was so cold inside that I was shivering, despite the 65-degree weather outside. The air conditioning was blasting, and the dining area is spacious with tile floors and two walls of glass, which made conversations extremely loud. To top it off, the staff had pop music playing at such a volume that it nearly drowned out the noise of the conversations. It was the worst atmosphere of any diner I’ve ever visited. I won’t be returning.

What a delightful surprise! I ordered the chilaquiles and blueberry compote pancakes, and both were fantastic! They asked if I wanted the chilaquiles spicy or mild, and of course, I chose spicy. It was just the right amount of heat. The flavor was amazing, and the beans that came with it were authentically delicious as well. I'd definitely return here tomorrow if I could!
