Artischocke - Hägen

Was back in this restaurant after 4 years! nothing has changed for the worst! we were a big group, and there were also several other groups there, but the service was good, eating came at the same time and was of good. quality beautiful ambiente in restaurant and in team are very friendly and welcoming! will go back to hagen to make sure to go

We ate here on two consecutive evenings, which were so impressed. eating is delicious, the service and the environment are great and the price is good. a really nice meal.

The meal was a Pizza, Pasta and Salad of great taste, the service good but the beverages only few in offer and too expensive. That costs the fifth star: Just two types of red wine, 0.2 ltr for 4.90 € and 6.90 € and at...the end an espresso with water. The water was for Italy as I know it untypically with gaz and did cost about 2.50 € for 0.15 ltr. The location is very clear worth 5 stars. Together with some other restaurants, bars and entertainment bizz it is located in a formerly industrial building areal, that had to close in the late 1990th.

I loved the setting and ambience of artischoke. It has a warm rustic vibe and I really liked the lighting outside the restaurant. The food is typical Italian and quite tasty. For starters I tried the asparagus soup which was plentiful in size but a...tad too salty for me. I could hardly finish half of it. The bread is good as in all of Germany and was served with plain and herbed butter. For mains I went for the Italia pizza which was really cheesy with spinach, bell peppers and onions. What I liked was these vegetables were not mixed on the pizza rather I felt like I was eating 3 pizzas with one part of spinach another of onion and so on. 1 pizza is enough for 2 people so I couldn't finish it on my own. We had the merlot red wine from Sicily which was good accompaniment with the meal. Panna cotta with strawberries was dessert and it was too thick set but the taste was good. My friends had seafood pizza which they said was the best they had ever eaten, spaghetti carbonara and bruschetta. Quality of food is consistently good and American portion size so take care not to over order. Service was excellent, we were given complimentary schnapps and we were quite boisterous but other diners didn't seem to mind.

Beautiful menu selection and delicious food. the service was fast and the staff was helpful. good salads and deserts are available. nice sitting area in free.
