I've been buying my fish from here for years. I steam my fish, so the freshness of it is important and affects the taste greatly. Every fish I've bought here has been fresh. Buying from a fishmonger or a butcher is about trust, and I trust this shop fully to delivery quality every time. I can't say the same is true for the fishmongers inside the bigger supermarkets, where you don't know how long the fish has been sitting out for.

I ordered haddock chips home made tartar sauce mushy peas. You could see that they use fresh ingredients including the fish (it was not frozen). It’s very hard to find decent fish&chips in England I think, so I was really surprised that it tasted very good and fresh.

I have been going to Suttons for a few years now. I have always seen the servers looking at the fish size on the plates, giving the bigger piece to the mal/s of the group. Even though I have always thought this was bad, I accepted it. Tonight I received my cod and chips, the size of the fish was a child's portion whereas my husband got decent size piece (we both pay the same prize). I came away from there still hungry and very disappointed.

A very deccent lunch reasonable prices and an al round nice place to eat. I am not a fish eater but there is lots of options,
