Bidrage med feedbackThis was our first time here. We ordered the cucumber salad, soup dumplings, and fish soup with sour cabbage. The food was decent, servers are kind and friendly, the ambiance great. At the end, they offered Yakults in the house with a cute little snake stuffy for the 2025-year of snake-sweet surprise. They have pretty great appreciation discount policy as well. Would definitely come back to try more stuff on their menu. Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Hot Fish Sichuan Restaurant in Hackensack offers an authentic Sichuan dining experience. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, with friendly staff and a well-organized menu. Must-try dishes include the spicy fish fillet, mapo tofu, and cumin lamb. The flavors are bold and true to Sichuan cuisine, with just the right amount of heat. While the service can be slow during peak hours, the delicious food and reasonable prices make it a great spot for a special meal or casual dining. We ordered the salt and pepper squid, 辣子鸡 and 四季豆. They provided a complimentary tray of nuts which served as a great appetiser. The salt and pepper squid was the perfect amount of chewy and the long beans were crunchy and well seasoned. The 3 dishes were more than enough for 2pax and the service staff were extremely friendly and on the ball. Would definitely come back again if we’re in the area ! Serving up all the classics, Hot Fish fills a need for spicy, well made Sichuan food with plenty of options to choose from. From tripe/tendon, dan dan, drunken noodles, crispy green beans, mapo tofu and the hot fish, all available in family sized portions. Spiciness can be high but wash it down with the BYOB of your choice. Located in a shopping mall with plenty of parking. Medium sized restaurant but can accommodate large seatings. We eat at Hot Fish quite often, and usually order the same dishes. I was lucky enough to be their Tasting Panel Foodie winner, and was invited to try some different items from the menu. If you want to indulge in an unforgettable gastronomic experience, you have to try the Fresh Striped Bass. I ordered it with spicy sauce, but there are six different flavors to chose from. We also ordered the Sliced Beef with Black Pepper. The beef was so tender and juicy, paired with onions and bell peppers in a savory, black pepper sauce. Then we ordered Dry Pot Cabbage, a mouth-watering Sichuan dish that you have to try. For our last course, we had the Yang Chow Fried Rice, the best I have ever tasted. Thank you, Hot Fish. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, and the staff and service were exceptional. I highly recommend dining here when you are looking for a great Sichuan experience.
