The Blue Swimmer Bar & Bistro

I had my meal coming to the table while all other family members nearly finished their meals. It turned out that they forgot to cook my meal until I asked them. Another time we came for meals in my birthday, our served table is prepared without any knifes, forks and serviettes, salt and pepper. Everyone had to eat the food with fingers as all of us were hungry to wait for food. Staff and manager ignored us even though my mother in-law had talked about her bad experience another day to the owner.

I can verify what other reviewers said. Good food, the desert was scrumptious, so nice my partner just had to have it too when she saw mine served. Beautiful lakeside view overlooking the park and very friendly and efficient service. Heartily recommend. A hidden gem. Average restaurant prices, definitely not budget, but generous servings and well cooked steaks and fish.

The staff were friendly but the kids meals are not kid friendly, buns that are to hard and big to bite into.

Relaxed at this restaurant for a delightful lunch that was reasonably priced and with a good selection of meals available that would suit every ones taste. Over looking Lake Macquarie with its splendid views surrounded by the Gwandalan Bowling Club that had several people playing bowls that entertained us. Just the place to rest and recuperate before continuing our travels.Even with a Bus load of patrons from out of town the service was excellent.

We are so happy to have this restaurant in Gwandalan.The menu has a wide choice to suit all tastes, is really reasonably priced and the service is always excellent with smiles and no waiting times.The seasoning and cooking is just right with excellent quality of meats and products. We always bring our friends and visitors here and are so happy to have this place to call our local. Keep up the great work guys - its perfect!
