Catfish Charlies - Gulfport

I enjoyed an early dinner with a relaxed atmosphere and outstanding service. The food was fantastic! The jalapeño hush puppies were delicious, and the chicken and fish were perfectly seasoned!

I dined there with seven other friends, and we all agreed that the catfish was some of the best we've had in a long time. It was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, served piping hot alongside the most delicious homemade biscuits you could ever imagine! I opted for the sweet potato as a side, which seemed to have been cooked at high heat because the skin was charred, but the inside was incredibly tender and melted in my mouth! The hush puppies contained jalapeños, which wasn't to my taste. The cole slaw was decent, but I'm not really a fan of it anyway. However, the catfish was unforgettable! It’s a shame I forgot to take a picture of it.

The food and service was great. The atmosphere was nice and comfortable in a rustic way. I will definitely be going back.

Yum yum, VERY good fish and shrimp. Excellent service!!!! A little pricey, but a great choice. Will definitely be back. Our server Jenn, was fantastic!!
