Papa Rocco's - Gulf Shores

My favorite restaurant in gulf shores. This place has excellent food. The pizza is the best I have had in the area, the burger was great, and the service was good. The only issue is the size, popularity and availability of parking. Basically it is a small place that is constantly packed, loud and has long waits. If you can get a parking spot they are close by, but more people are waiting outside typically than the amount of available parking. They did mess up my order one time a couple of years ago, basically they didn't hear one of my pizzas over the phone and there is such a long wait it wasn't worth waiting on them to cook it. Anyway if you don't mind waiting and being packed into a small space with tons of other people the food is great.

Papa Rocco's is a very popular place with a very long wait time. My family enjoyed an order of the Papas Buffalo Wings along with the Stuffed Mushrooms.. and let me say that the stuffed mushrooms were probably the best I've had ANYWHERE! We decided to be adventurous and try the Seafood Primavera Pizza and while it was definitely something different, it was still quite tasty. The only reason I give this place 4 stars instead of 5 is because (while we didn't mind the almost hour long wait) once we were seated, our waitress was not very attentive and our service was spotty at best. We would definitely still return though!

Had the best raw oysters on our trip thus far here. So good. They got a great source. Everyone enjoyed the cheese pizza. My daughter loved the Alpine burger. Very good steak sandwich. Great service. Wasn't crowded when we were here. Highly recommend this place.

We always enjoy Papa Rocco’s! Since we live here, we know the best times to go to beat the crowds and are never disappointed! Our favorite place for oysters and pizza but everything on the menu is great! It’s our favorite local hangout!

Oysters were covered in awesomesauce. We cannot confirm nor deny the cheese bread was brushed through the butter and garlic left on our plate of 'steamed '.. The Raw were so good we ordered a second dozen. Loads of horseradish and cocktail sauce peppered with Bo Grant swooning the entire place with his golden voice. Great night.
