Ye Olde Sandwich Shoppe - Guildford

The staff at this restaurant are absolutely wonderful! They were extremely friendly and welcoming, going above and beyond to make sure our group, which included some picky eaters, was well taken care of. I was extremely impressed by the patience and kindness of our waitress. They made us feel as though no request was too much trouble, and they were able to modify dishes to ensure everyone had a delicious meal. The overall atmosphere and decor of the restaurant were also very inviting.

I stopped by for coffee and ordered a scone, which I promptly declared as the best scone ever. The owner informed us that she makes them fresh daily and never saves any for the next day. (Probably because they're so delicious) Located in one of the most beautiful villages in the Surrey hills, do yourself a favor and pay a visit.

We had a lovely lunch experience. The pastrami sandwich on fresh bread with all the perfect toppings was fantastic, and my wife said the toasted cheese sandwich was equally delicious. The service was friendly and efficient, and we got to enjoy our meal at a table outside in the sun. What more could you want?

Very disappointing. The coffee leaves a horrible rough dry after-taste is bitter. Thought it would improve with the new coffee machine but it has not. The towel in the toilet is wet unhygienic. Needs paper hand towels. The little room off the main cafe is cold. The advertised phone number does not take incoming calls.
