The Queen's Head - Guildford

We visited on a Saturday without a reservation, and despite a large preordered party arriving, we received quick and incredibly friendly service during lunchtime. My tuna steak was overcooked, but I can overlook that considering the positive experience overall. Thank you!

Although the menu was somewhat limited during our visit due to unavailable ingredients, what I ordered was fantastic. The chicken and ham hock cake was delicious—truly a perfect torte. The accompanying vegetables and sauce were equally delightful! For dessert, I had the apple crumble, which was served in a charming round bowl, providing a heartwarming conclusion to the meal. While it is on the pricier side, the cozy atmosphere and excellent dishes justify the cost. Overall, it was a very pleasant dining experience!

Beautiful location with large parking space, cozy restaurant with friendly and helpful staff. eating was good, but the prices were a bit higher than you would normally expect for a pub-based restaurant like this. I think the question is when it is no more than pub and become a restaurant.

The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the food is excellent. If you're planning to bring a large group or a four-legged friend, make sure to make a reservation, as dogs are only allowed in two specific rooms. Overall, it's a lovely pub that’s great for the entire family.
