Red Rose - Guildford

Oh no! Our first disappointment was that they do not allow BYO. Then we experienced disjointed service - we had to prompt them to bring out our onion Bhaji starter after ordering popadoms. They kept trying to bring out my main course (chicken tikka) while I was still eating my starter! The waiting staff seemed clueless. Three main courses came out, but my chicken tikka was missing.

I have been a patron of Red Rose for many years and continue to visit at least once a month. The menu offers a variety of dishes to suit different tastes. We have several favorite dishes that we always enjoy and consistently leave happy. While the restaurant does not have an alcohol license, there is a convenient shop next door that sells beer, wine, and spirits (please check their operating hours). The prices are very reasonable, especially compared to other places where you may pay more than £6 for a beer.

Excellent meal and lots of choice. All ages catered for and friendly service. Highly recommended. Good value too. Really good

The October outing of the curry club saw eleven members at this venue, after not having been there for quite a long while … they were not disappointed. The food was served in good time and was delicious; the members made a particular comment on the value for money and quality of the meal. Note that this venue does not serve alcohol, but that’s not an issue as you can bring your own drinks or they do serve soft drinks. Definitely worth a look here if you’re in Guildford.

Looked at the reviews before I visited And thought I’d make my own mind up As I stayed in the establishment 23 years ago Anyway it’s a bring your own beer or wine establishment I ordered the king prawns to start with chilli First class. A ten for r the starter Main meal mixed grill, fault no salad no sauce Anyway waiter told me this, I ordered a madras sauce and it was amazing Also asked for masala chips, another level 23 years I’ve traveled the country and ate more Indian food than the average bear What I’m saying is This place is a place I’d recommend
