Astolat Shisha Lounge - Guildford

If you're in Guildford and craving delicious Indian cuisine, this spot is worth considering. It's a cozy pub/restaurant that transports you to a different era, complete with a selection of beverages and pool/darts tables. I opted for the chicken naga with pilau rice and garlic naan, and while I was cautioned about its spiciness, I found it pleasantly moderate. The only downside was the wait time for my dish, but the attentive service from the staff more than compensated for it. Additionally, they feature live sports and a fireplace. I will definitely revisit if I find myself back in Guildford.

This is our go-to spot for curry! The food is fantastic and offers great value. They also have a nice selection of beer and the staff is very friendly. We love their unique quiz night on the first Thursday of the month. It's refreshing to visit a traditional pub instead of another gastro pub. Highly recommend checking this place out!

Our experience at this pub started off well with nice food and a pleasant atmosphere. However, after finishing our meal and drinks, we were asked to leave our table and stand at the bar as there were no seats available. This was our first time at the pub and we were shocked by the request. Unfortunately, we decided to leave and expressed our disappointment to the Landlady. This was not the warm and inviting experience we were expecting from their website. Overall, it turned out to be a disappointing night out for us. Thank you.

Your typical English pub, with a beer garden, a good billiards table, and a dart board. 4* because they could increase the draught beer range, as well as get some new darts. But overall, a good experience.
