Bidrage med feedbackI don't eat it often and I'm not an expert. I enjoyed my meals there. The terrace at the back is beautiful in summer time. The food was good a lunch was a little off. Service was good.
Interesting menu, resonable prices and excellent delivery on promises! Service was excellent and server was highly accentuated on special requests. Noise level not too bad!
Cosy place to go for a coffee, to eat. Browse the bookshop, and then you can go to the Indie Filmtheater where you can bring a glass of wine, tea etc. Beautiful back terrace for the summer. There's also a Karoake/Lounge up there, which I haven't visited yet. This is a jewel that I have in my bag for the lonely or gray days that I feel happy after a visit here.
We were here for an event. The owners had said to expect 80 people or so and would have had to know that the staff should increase to a serviceable level and have enough food in the supply. We waited 90 minutes for our food (the by the way...was from a reduced menu) an hour and a half, with not even bread or rolls to hold one!!!! I had asked about the Veggie-Burger, but about 15 20 minutes before our food came, the waitress informed me that they would run out and I had to choose something else. I chose the Three Sisters Ragout with Smoked Tofu, which was a big mistake as the northern beans were undercooked. I had memories of the last time that I was eating underseated north beans and was forcibly ill, but we had waited so long, I took my chances and ate about 2/3 before we give up and hope for the best. My friend had ordered the venison burger and got through halfway before he discovered it was **** in the middle. She showed it to the waitress and it was replaced by apologies and with one that was thoroughly cooked. She described it so well and hoped she wouldn't get sick either. On the plus side their frits were hot and pleasant. The third member of our party ordered the Pesto Pizza with a side salad that never showed up. At the end of the evening there was only one until it was open to receive payments and a huge line up. All in all, we were very dissatisfied and could not recommend eating here because of this experience.
Precisely. My wife wants to move Guelph... because of the bookshelf. While I sing her praises, I have my own. This is the place to be. I'm originally from Guelph and on a visit home we stopped by to pick up a gift for my...parents. I instantly re fell in love with the store. This place has it all an incredible collection of literature (graphic novels featuring artists like Delisle Sacco) which you can't find elsewhere in Guelph, a cafe to grab a drink while you browse, restaurant, e bar, and movie theatre to boot. This place is phenomenal. Friendly staff to help and guide, and you could get lost in here for hours browsing we certainly did. Just note the theatre won't have your average Cineplex films, but a collection of documentaries and challenging independent films. An absolute must visit.
