La Pizzeria du Lac - Guebwiller

We arrived early, but no problem, take any table you want. Two fantastic pizzas, two drinks, two happy people.

This pizzeria is located next to a lake and has a terrace outside the building. The waiters could speak a bit of English and the credit card machine isn't work properly so you should keep money in your pocket if you plan to have a dinner/lunch here. The food is good, the service level is the average but is it OK for that kind of restaurant. The desserts are delicious.

Cheap italian restaurant at a lake side, but this place could be definitely better. I have ordered a salad as a starter and a pizza as a main, both arrive in the same time... Furniture in the restaurant is a little old-school and cheap, the tables are really very close to each other.

We stayed few days in Domain du Lac with the family. After a long day of walking we stayed on the property and took pizza and pasta in this pizzeria nicely located next to the lake. The terras looks over the water. The food was of good quality; not fancy, but average good and reasonable in price. We took dinner between 8-9pm. A strange experience was that at one moment the chef came with the remains of the kitchen and fed the ducks and swans with the leftovers of pizza and french fries. He trew all in the water from the terras. The ducks and swans enjoyed it. But I think such is less appropiate when the terras is full of clients..

We were very happy to get seats on a Saturday night. While we had some second thoughts because of some of the reviews (especially concerning the time you have to wait to be served), we were very happy in the end. Friendly personal, quick service and very good pizza. Best vegetarian pizza I had so far...
